Fred Otash Detective Bureau T-Shirt
FRED OTASH DETECTIVE BUREAUĀ T-SHIRT
An American history t-shirt available inĀ black cotton.
TheĀ Fred Otash Detective Bureau T-Shirt is inspired byĀ the infamous 'Hollywood Fixer', private eye, smut peddler and former LA cop Freddy Otash.
Believed to have been the inspiration for the Jake Gittes character in Polanski's Chinatown, Otash developed a reputation as a wiretapper and problem solver for the rich and famous of Los Angeles.
During an illustrious, if nefarious, career he spied on Marilyn Monroe, JFK and Sinatra and gathered lurid exposes of the Hollywood elite for Confidential magazine.
Otash published his autobiography in 1976 but most recently featured as the central character in a largely fictionalised account of his confessions in Widespread Panic by James Ellroy.
